Refund Policy

At PSG Plant Hire, our goods and services are provided in compliance with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Our refund policy is subject to the provisions of this law.

Customers must also adhere to PSG Plant Hire’s Hire Contract Conditions.

Cancellation of Hire

As a customer, you may cancel your hire reservation online or over the phone at any time before the hire commences. If delivery has been requested and cancellation occurs within 2 hours of the scheduled start date/time, a ‘futile delivery’ charge will apply if the driver has already loaded or left the branch. This charge will not exceed the quoted delivery amount. Additionally, PSG Plant Hire reserves the right to on-charge any legitimate costs incurred as a result of a cancellation.

Upon cancellation, PSG Plant Hire will refund any deposit that has been paid.

Faulty Equipment

PSG Plant Hire guarantees that all equipment provided will be free from fault and in good working order. If any equipment is received in a faulty condition or is not in good working order, PSG Plant Hire will repair or replace the equipment, or refund any deposit taken.

Within 50 Kilometres: For equipment hired to be located within 50 kilometres of the hiring branch, all costs associated with repair or replacement onsite will be covered by PSG Plant Hire.

Beyond 50 Kilometres: For equipment hired to be located more than 50 kilometres from the hiring branch, the customer will bear the costs associated with onsite repair or replacement.

Please note: For remote hires, the customer is responsible, at their cost, for the daily maintenance and care of the equipment while in their possession. Customers are also responsible for charges related to delivery, servicing, repairs, and any other attendance by PSG Plant Hire. These charges may include parts, consumables, travel, labour costs, call-out fees, and direct travel expenses.

Sale Items

At the completion of hire, PSG Plant Hire will accept the return of any sale items provided for use with our hire equipment, provided the item(s) have not been opened, used, damaged, or tampered with in a way that prevents resale. Any returned sale items that meet these conditions will not be invoiced.

Sale items returned within a reasonable period after being invoiced will be refunded, provided they have not been opened, used, damaged, or tampered with. A PSG Plant Hire invoice will be required to process the refund. PSG Plant Hire will assist in locating legitimate invoices for your convenience.
